the concept is nice nut the jump is very stiff and feels very heavy also there were a few bugs: the bottom half of the screen wouldn't render well (or at all) and scenes would load before they should wait there is more I could collect some coins more then once. but other then these issues the game was great! with some more work it would be really fun! but you aren't there yet.
also I played the browser version if you want to recreate the bugs.
Great try but the controls were a it nuts!! Smooth movement but the jump is so hard to make!! It feels like some one turned it up to 100 or something. Overall a good game but a little bit of improvement is required on the controls. But considering that you only used HTML5 ad no tunity or godot, It is just fantastic!!
I acually used Godot.... With that said I have a way to work on the jumping, and I have revamped the move mechanics in my update. I still need to add a delay before the game detects your off ground, which should be done in my offline build today.
Why J. Why must you press J to jump. Why??? It makes me sad, I like space or w but J! xD. I'm joking of course, it's just I'm just used to games with w or space to jump. Other than my control pet peeve it was an amazing game, I especially liked the there and back portion of it, it made a lot of sense to get some sort of power and use it to get what you could not get without that power.
Cute game. But I feel like your controls are a tad bit un responsive. This video explains how to fix that. (Even if he's a little bit mean about it) keep up to good work. I love how you had multiple different rooms that all fit well together.
Really cute, the art style is a bit rough and ready but I think it's quite charming. I like the jumping animation and really like the terrain art style. I didn't get to the end because the character got stuck in the terrain at one point and I couldn't move, so I stopped there. But I like it! Please consider checking out my submission to the VimJam!
Yeah, its a bug with the Collisions, I've been trying to figure it out to no luck. Art isn't really my strong suit, but I feel like I gave it a good effort. Your game is really good, I especially like the dithering in the back ground and the responsiveness of the controls. Only problem I had with the web version was that when I used the arrow keys it would scroll the screen down, but that is a inherent problem with the way websites work and not the game.
Nice work. Only issues I have is the changing between scenes feels really unexpected and often resulted in my character dying. Also small spelling error at the end, it should be "Congratulations" instead of "Congradulations". Awesome work!
Yeah, that is part of the reason for the re-spawn system. It is the first prototype I ever brought to completion, I am already working on a better version, with better character animations, and to try to make the world feel more alive, and improved coding.
hmm, that is odd I don't have that issue, did you try the exe version? I like your game, the big peach monster didn't kill the player though. Reminds me of the classic pacman.

"Congradulatoins, you collected 26 Out of 25 orbs."
ahh i see you unlocked the achievement for the accidental double pick up. I have no excuses for my lack spelling.

Thank you for the feedback, I have a updated version that addresses most of theese issues, but I am waiting until after the jam to update.

nice game
A few problems: on the room with the lake thing you can get softlocked if you die and respawn
also the music is really repetitive
Yeah I agree with everything you said. I have fixed a lot of the issues but won't be updating until after the jam that it is in.
Great! The idea for the game is really fun and bug fixes are the only things you really have to change..

Thank you, yeah the player controller is a little rushed.
I have a much better one in place now (controller support as well). I have been working on a few new systems etc.
I just haven't updated because the jam that the game is part of isn't over yet. Plus, I am updating several of the screens.
See the video below to see what it currently looks like.
Also, I love watching Jonas' videos dude has a good eye for game design.

Thanks so much for playing! I'll make sure to rate your game when submissions close :)

Really cute graphics. I am unable to collect orbs in the web version.
Consider taking a look at my Game Please download to try as the web is super buggy
