Cavernous
Cavernous is a game about making it to the end of the level. There are coins you will need to collect, that will open gates, which will allow you to move to the next level. In-between levels there are randomizer levels, where you can choose to take a small boost to your characters performance (generated randomly). However, this may have an effect on your ending. Music also plays random songs from a artist here on itch, they are credited in game, and down below.

The character is a bit slidey, but I loved it. Sounds and visuals are really cool as well. Will be back for a longer playthrough!
Thank you, I am currently working on art and ideals to expand the game further as time allows. I am most like gonna add a running system that allows for a sliding stop, but remove the slide from regular movement.
The character is a little stubborn and sometimes it's a little hard to put him where I want, but overall it's a nice game! :)
Thank You, if I decided to do any more with this one, I may transition to Raycasts to make him less stubborn.
Amazing game overall. I would suggest making it so the character slides less as it made it feel as though I was fighting the player. I also found the color of the falling enemies and spikes to blend in too much with the background.
Thank you these are easy enough to change. I will see what I can do when I get some time today.
Edit:
I posted a new update, Player friction has been increased, the player still slides, just not as bad. I do want some sliding to simulate the speed at which the player is running.
I also colored the traps to be more red, so they will be more visual to the player.
